Wedding Photography

Your wedding photographs will probably be the most important and memorable of your life, so you need the services of a professional to ensure that the sky looks blue and that everyone is smiling!

A professional wedding photographer is experienced in organising your family and guesta for the formal poses, without upsetting them (your ushers can help "roun up" your guests for the formal gro.0), and has a trained eye for the good shot. He will also be prepared for bad weather and other unforeseen events. In addition he will insured against most disasters.

Most photographers develop their own style and you should consult several to find one that suits your own ideas and with whom you and your future husband feel confortable.

A good place to see photographers and examples of their work are wedding exhibtions (see our Exhibition Diary on page 21).

Professional Wedding photographers will usually offer a range of packages, whill will include attendance, the album and a fixed number of pictures, including the bride's arrival at the church, formal groups of the bride and groom and their families and pictures of the reception and the cutting of the cake. Some photographers will charge an attendance fee and the for the number of photographs purchased.

When you have chosen your wedding photographer be sure to visit him at his studio to see more of his work and to discuss with him how you would like your wedding photographed and which pictures are important. You must feel confident that he fully understands your requirements.

Don't leave the booking of your wedding photographer to the last minute. The best ones will only do one wedding per day and are booked up well in advance, particularly in the popular spring and summer months. see our budget planner on page for an idea of the cost of your wedding photographs.
